WHY THE CHILD CANCER FOUNDATION?

We chose the Child Cancer Foundation as our charity in March because they provide crucial support to families dealing with the hardship that comes with having a child with cancer. Treatment costs are subsidized if not covered by other charities such as Starship Children's Hospital. Most of the general public doesn't quite grasp the incredible hurdles the immediate family has to overcome. This is where the Child Cancer Foundation comes into the picture. As Sarah Bisman, whose son Oscar had Acute Myeloid Leukemia, says in the video below, they helped her family with everything from groceries to swimming lessons.
